What are the late symptoms and manifestations of liver cancer

What are the manifestations of mid- to late-stage liver cancer? Liver cancer is a terrible disease. Since it is not easy to be discovered and diagnosed in the early stages of liver cancer, many people are already in the mid- to late stages of the disease when they are diagnosed with liver cancer. What are the manifestations of mid- to late-stage liver cancer? Please let the experts introduce in detail:

If it is mid- to late-stage liver cancer, the liver area pain is very characteristic. This pain is equivalent to the location of the tumor. If the pain occurs in this location, the patient will feel persistent distending pain or even dull pain. Liver pain is caused by the rapid growth of the tumor and the traction of the liver capsule.

If the lesion invades the diaphragm, the pain may involve the right shoulder. If the cancerous nodule ruptures, it may suddenly cause severe pain and symptoms and signs of peritonitis. If the amount of bleeding is too large, it will cause syncope and shock. About 90% of patients with liver enlargement have an enlarged liver, and the enlargement is progressive. The texture is hard and uneven. There are nodules or lumps of varying sizes, with blunt and irregular edges. Generally, there are tenderness of varying degrees. If the tumor is located on the diaphragmatic surface, the main manifestation is that the diaphragm is elevated and the lower edge of the liver may not be enlarged. Because the arteries of liver cancer are rich and tortuous, the huge tumor compresses the hepatic artery or abdominal aorta, and the inner diameter of the artery suddenly narrows. Sometimes a murmur of blowing blood can be heard on the abdominal wall close to the tumor.

Jaundice usually occurs in the late stage and can be caused by liver cell damage, which is caused by the compression or invasion of the bile duct near the liver port by the cancer mass, or the detachment of cancer tissue and blood clots causing bile duct obstruction. Patients with liver cancer with signs of cirrhosis and portal hypertension may have symptoms such as splenomegaly, ascites, and the formation of venous collateral circulation.
