The principle of diarrhea

Diarrhea is a very common symptom in daily life. The impact of diarrhea on patients is not only reflected in the health aspect. Many people will delay their work or study because of diarrhea. Of course, there are many causes of diarrhea, such as intestinal inflammation, tumors, malabsorption or food poisoning, which can all cause complications such as diarrhea!

1. Intestinal inflammation

Diarrhea caused by intestinal inflammation can be divided into two categories: infectious inflammatory diarrhea and non-infectious diarrhea:

① Infectious inflammatory diarrhea: It is the most common type of diarrhea and is common in:

a. Viral infection: In order of incidence, they are: rotavirus (including group A rotavirus and adult diarrhea rotavirus), enteric adenovirus, Norwalk virus, echovirus, astrovirus, coronavirus, calicivirus, Norwalk factor and diarrhea caused by other viral infections.

b. Bacterial infection: Infectious diarrhea caused by bacterial infection is very common and distributed globally, such as bacillary dysentery, Salmonella infection, cholera, Vibrio parahaemolyticus infection, Campylobacter infection, ulcerative intestinal tuberculosis and Staphylococcus aureus gastroenteritis.

c. Fungal infection: such as intestinal candidiasis, etc.

d. Parasitic infections: such as amoebiasis, giardiasis, schistosomiasis, hookworm disease, fasciocytosis and red worm disease.

② Non-infectious diarrhea: Inflammatory bowel disease (including chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease), acute hemorrhagic necrotizing enteritis, radiation enteritis and ischemic bowel disease can all cause diarrhea. Colonic diverticulitis or colon polyps complicated with colitis can also be accompanied by diarrhea.

2. Tumor

Intestinal tumors, such as malignant lymphoma of the small intestine, colon cancer, and rectal cancer, can cause lesions such as infiltration, erosion, and ulcers of the intestinal mucosa, all of which can cause diarrhea; Apud tumor, gastrinoma, carcinoid, and pancreatic cholera, etc., cause diarrhea due to the production of large amounts of gastrointestinal peptides.

3. Absorption disorder

Damage to the small intestinal mucosa, such as dysbacteriosis caused by pediatric chylous disease, tropical and non-tropical Sprague-Dawley disease, chylous duct or mesenteric lymph node lesions, and partial small intestinal resection or short-circuit surgery, can all cause nutrient absorption disorders and cause diarrhea.

4. Food poisoning

Such as food poisoning caused by staphylococcal enterotoxin, dolphin poisoning and botulism poisoning.
