The gallbladder is like a "reservoir" for storing bile. Most of the bile secreted by the liver is stored here. 3. Reflux gastritis Some patients may develop bile reflux gastritis after cholecystectomy, and the patients may experience severe digestive discomfort, such as nausea, acid reflux, indigestion, etc. This is because bile continuously enters the intestines, and when the stomach is empty, there is a lack of gastric acid and food to neutralize it, and the bile is continuously stored in the duodenum and refluxes into the stomach.
