How to treat the nodules left by acne

How to treat the nodules left by acne

I believe many people have experienced acne. Most people will leave many acne marks after the acne goes away. Some people will not only leave acne marks, but also some hard nodules. If this hard nodule is not treated, it will not disappear. At this time, some measures must be taken to remove the nodule. So how do you treat the nodules left by acne?

Acne scars can be mainly divided into two types: spots (i.e. acne marks) and scars (depressions or protrusions). The spots are divided into red and black spots. The red spots are caused by inflammation of cells in the area where the acne originally occurred, which causes blood vessels to dilate. However, the blood vessels do not shrink immediately after the acne disappears, resulting in temporary, flat, red spots.

It will get redder when the skin temperature rises or when you exercise. This redness is not considered a scar and will gradually fade within 4 to 6 months. Black spots are caused by pigmentation after acne inflammation, which leaves a dark and dirty color in the places where red acne has appeared, making the skin dull. These black colors will actually disappear slowly over time. Impatient people have to apply some ointments that can remove melanin or undergo fruit acid peels or vitamin C introduction.

This type of spots and pigmentation will disappear naturally over time, so they are generally temporary false scars, not real scars. Of course, it takes a certain amount of time for the erythema and melanin deposits to disappear. Otherwise, if the blood vessels that should contract do not contract, the redness will not subside; and if the pigments that should be transported away by the cells are not transported away, the melanin will not disappear.

Pit scars are a common condition. When acne becomes too inflamed and damages too much collagen in the dermis, pits may be left due to the collapse of the dermis. Many acne patients like to squeeze pimples with their hands. If the squeezing is improper, it will greatly increase the chance of suppurative infection, and it will easily turn small blackheads and pimples into big pimples, which will then leave scars.

Once a hole is formed, it will not disappear automatically. Laser resurfacing is the only way to save it. Hypertrophic scars, commonly known as "keloids", are usually caused by congenital physical conditions. They are the most difficult to treat and are prone to recurrence. This type of scar is the opposite of a pit-type scar. It is an overly thickened scar that leaves obvious red protrusions where acne occurred. It looks red and swollen, and what's more serious is that it will slowly grow due to scratching or external stimulation. It often occurs in patients with special physical constitutions. Because the fibroblasts in the dermis of these patients are too active, they overreact during the wound healing process. As a result, the dermis does not become concave after being injured by inflammation, but becomes bulging instead, turning into hypertrophic skin tissue hyperplasia.
