What are the symptoms of middle and late stage prostate cancer in the elderly

Prostate cancer is a common tumor in society, and it mostly occurs in the elderly. The early symptoms of prostate cancer patients are not very obvious. When patients feel unwell and go to the hospital for examination, some patients have already reached the late stage, when the cancer cells have already metastasized. So what are the mid-stage symptoms of prostate cancer?

The main symptoms of late-stage prostate cancer are lower urinary tract obstruction, or hematuria and urinary retention. The most prominent symptom is pain.
Symptoms of advanced prostate cancer 1. Urinary dysfunction: 80% of patients experience progressive urination difficulties, thinning or deviated urine flow, bifurcated urine flow, prolonged urination, frequent urination, urgency, pain, and a feeling of incomplete urination due to cancer. In severe cases, urine dripping and urine retention occur. Only 3% of patients have hematuria.
Symptom 2 of advanced prostate cancer: pain: pain in the waist, sacrum, buttocks, hips, pelvis, and sciatica is common and severe and unbearable. It may be caused by cancer metastasis to the bones or invasion of nerves or hydronephrosis and kidney infection. About 31% of patients experience pain.
Symptoms of advanced prostate cancer 3 Metastasis symptoms: Metastasis is very common in prostate cancer patients. About 1/3 or even 2/3 of patients have lymph node metastasis when they first see a doctor, mostly in the iliac, iliac, waist, groin and other parts. It can cause lymph node enlargement and lower limb swelling in the corresponding parts. Hematogenous metastasis is more common in bones such as pelvis, sacrum, lumbar spine, upper femur, etc. and internal organs such as lungs, liver, brain, adrenal glands, testicles, etc.
The appearance and severity of prostate cancer symptoms depend on the speed of cancer growth and the degree of urethral compression. Because the prostate encircles the urethra, the cancer will compress the urethra only after it grows to a certain size, showing symptoms of abnormal urination. Only a few people experience frequent urination and increased nocturia.
