What does cervical cancer stage IB mean

Stage IB of cervical cancer means that it is in the early or middle stage. Surgery has been performed and abdominal lymph node dissection has been performed. If the patient is in good physical condition, chemotherapy or local radiotherapy can be performed. However, both radiotherapy and chemotherapy have serious side effects. If patients are receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy, it is recommended to combine traditional Chinese medicine to consolidate the treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine is relatively mild and patients can generally accept it.

The current clinical stages of early and advanced cervical cancer are:
Stage 0 (carcinoma in situ): The cancer is confined to the epithelium of the cervical mucosa or glandular epithelium.
Stage I cancer is confined to the cervix. Stage Ia: No precancerous lesions are seen in the uterus, and the lesions are not visible to the naked eye, so the diagnosis can only be made under a microscope. Stage Ib: The lesions extend beyond stage Ia, and the lesions are visible clinically.
Stage II: Cancer has spread beyond the cervix but not into the pelvis. Cancer has spread into the vagina but not into the lower third of the vagina. Stage IIa: No obvious paracervical infiltration. Stage IIb: Obvious paracervical infiltration.
Stage III: Parametrial invasion does not reach the pelvic wall, and the tumor involves the lower 1/3 of the vagina. Stage IIIa: Parametrial invasion does not reach the pelvic cavity, and the tumor involves the lower 1/3 of the vagina. Stage IIIb: Parametrial invasion does not reach the pelvic cavity,
Stage IV cancer spreads beyond the pelvic or rectal mucosa. Ⅳa: Tumor infiltrates the bladder mucosa or rectal mucosa. Ⅳb: Tumor spreads to distant organs. Only stage 0 and stage Ia are considered early stage, while stage Ib and beyond are considered late stage. Many clinical treatments use ginsenoside Rh2 (life-protecting factor), a rare ginsenoside of ginseng, to inhibit cancer cell proliferation and combine with radiotherapy and chemotherapy to exert a combined effect of enhancing efficacy and reducing toxicity. And the effect of ginsenoside Rh2 (life-protecting factor) is positively correlated with the dose.
