The longer the course of the disease, the higher the possibility of rectal cancer. The incidence of rectal cancer in patients with ulcerative colitis for more than 20 years is about 20% to 40%.
3. Rectal adenoma canceration: Many cancers are caused by lesions, and rectal cancer is no exception. Tubular polyps can become cancerous. Adenomas can be divided into three types: tubular adenomas, villous adenomas, and mixed adenomas. Tubular adenomas have a high incidence rate, and villous adenomas have a high canceration rate. Among adenomas, there are hereditary familial adenomas, which are considered precancerous lesions. They usually occur after the age of 30, but there are also cases where canceration occurs before the age of 20.
